I am moving out of an apartment where I have lived for 5 years.  The carpets were new when I moved in but now have some damage and need to be replaced.  My question is if I am responsible to pay for the total cost.  It was estimated at $1,200.

What exactly is required by the landlord to send a renter their security deposit back in the state of Utah?
