COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
We were afflicted with a bed bug problem from this apartment building about six months ago. We contacted Wood Acres, and they said that they would send somebody out once we could show them proof that we had bugs. We brought bugs down to their office, and they sent out an exterminator to our apartment. We followed protocol and did exactly what we were supposed to do to our prepare our apartment for them. They then came back one week later and did a follow up visit. Not even two weeks later, we continued to see bed bugs. We called Wood Acres again, and they told us to again bring the bed bugs down to confirm. We did, and they sent someone out again to treat our apartment. The first time they came to our apartment to treat, they did two treatments (a week apart). This time, they only came once. We complained to Wood Acres about this because not only did we want another treatment to eradicate them, but we also had to move a lot of stuff around in our apartment for them to treat and nobody notified us. We still continued to find bed bugs. Nobody has come back to exterminate even though we have vocalized our complaint to Dawn and other staff at Wood Acres. Dawn said that they would be back to treat, but that has been at least two months ago. It is unfair and we are really being affected by this problem. It is interfering with our daily life, our careers, and our sleep. I have literally not sat on my couch for over three months in fear that it has been infested because Wood Acres failed to address the situation in a timely manner. We are moving in two weeks, and want Wood Acres to contract the exterminator to come out again before we leave.
