I received this document by post - Second week of February 2011 - with charges exceeding $ 1000. We are asked to pay for the carpet damage as well as excess of the basic deposit paid. So we dont get any of our money back, but instead we are asked to pay him extra. I spoke to him when I received this notice, and he said he was going to try to get the money back from my roommate, who is missing from the scene of action.

Refund my security Deposit and Pay the penalty and reasonable lawyer chargers for not returning my money back on time , Several calls have been made only to face a non-chalant responses. the apartment i took was a sub lease of a PHD Student who was living there for over 5 yrs - i just joined the lease as an ADD on and the apartment already had damages - when i joined the lease The Carpet was not cleaned for over 5 years and no paint ; and now they are expecting me to do the repairs for being on the lease for LAST 6 Months ----
