COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

My fiancee and I just moved to a new apartment from another in the same complex a little over a month ago. We never had any issues of bed bugs before. About 2-2 and a half weeks ago I started noticing bites all over my arms and legs as well as two on my face. I thought we might of had a few mosquitoes in the house. But after searching and closing up the house I was still getting bitten up. I then went on to search my bite description when I came across bed bugs (Which I wasn't even aware existed). I went on to look into where there would be hiding because I had not seen any bugs. I tore my room apart and ended up finding 3 bugs, 1 on the wall and 2 on the floor behind my headboard. We went directly to the landlord with the bugs in a plastic back in between clear tape. She then told us that it was our responsibility to pay for it and that we could work out a payment plan through them to add it to our rent. Even though they couldn't have came from us. No used or new furniture brought in, no house guests, no traveling, only moving from our old apartment (where we did not have them) to the new apartment in the same complex where all the sudden I was getting bit up. I don't feel it should be my responsibility to pay for the treatment. We do not have the money right now. My wedding is in a few weeks so I have not been staying in the apartment because I don't want to be covered in bites on my wedding day. I need help as soon as possible. Please Help.
