COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

â?¢ I live at The Preserve apartment complex in West Chester, Ohio. The Preserve is on a wildlife preserve. Ducks and geese reside on the preserve. â?¢ I arrived home on Thursday evening with a notice on my door stating that they would not renew my lease. My lease end on Oct 31, 2011. â?¢ I was TOTALLY shocked! â?¢ I did not receive a warning notice (written or verbal). â?¢ I thought that I was in good standing at the apartment complex. â?¢ I immediately went to the office and spoke with Sandy Nash, the office manage, about the notice. She said that she did not have to have a reason or tell me anything. I assumed it was about me feeding the ducks and offered to move the ducks and not feed any ducks again, but she laughed (low laughter) at me and declined the compromise. I asked her why she was laughing and as she was laughing she said that she was not laughing but it was just her. Yes, this is about feeding ducks on a wildlife preserve. Background â?¢ Sandy and I both like the ducks at the preserve. She calls them farm ducks and I call them white ducks. â?¢ Sandy and I got alone well especially since we have a strong common interest, the ducks. â?¢ Over the past two years we frequently talk about the white/farm ducks and she would update me on the ducks that were on nest, the nest locations and the new ducklings in her area of the lake. I did the same about my area of the lake. â?¢ Another conversation (last year) with Sandy talked about her desire to get a couple Swans on the lake. Unfortunately, in subsequent conversations she said that it did not look promising. I do not remember the reasons for the issue in getting the swans. â?¢ Last year Sandy said that she want more ducks in her area of the lake and I told her that if I still lived at the Preserves I would raise some for her area of the lake. I raised four duck (3 gray and 1 black) and brought them to her area. It took a lot of time, effort and money to raise the four ducks for Sandy. Most people would not have made the effort to raise the ducks for her. She thanked me for raising the ducks, but told me that she was not serious when she asked for the ducks. (I assumed that she was serious). When I brought the four ducks to her area we discussed the other ducks in the area. The conversation progressed to her telling me that the white crested duck is her favorite and that it is very aggressive. I told her that the large gray duck was also aggressive that they should get
