COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

About 9 months ago Matthew and I noticed bug bites on my arms and legs. I thought they were fleas since I have a dog so i treated the apartment for fleas. Then about 6 months ago I found a bed bug crawling across my pillow. We immediately put it in a baggie and took it up to our landlord. She told us that we needed to catch them in THEIR traps and then they would take care of the problem. She also mentioned that there has been a breakout before we moved in and this was not mentioned when we signed our lease. We did as we were asked, showed them to her, and still nothing was done. I began buying bug killers and putting them around the house to help keep my bites down. It is almost 6 months after my first complaint and still nothing has been done. I have severe bites on my arms, legs, torso, and now my face. I spoke with our landlord July 6, 2012 at first he said that it was our responsibility to pay for an exterminator, so I said I was going to call the Health Department. Then they said we would have an exterminator out by this week and he would notify us at least one day before they came out. Today is July 13, 2012, I got off the phone again with our landlord (3:30) and he said that our exterminator should have been here and he was going to call us back. He has not returned our phone call and there was no notification that an exterminator was going to be coming out in advanced. I have a dog and I have been at home most of the week so I am a bit confused how an exterminator came without my knowledge. I am being eaten alive and it is starting to affect my health and my job. Something needs to be done immediately before my health issues become greater or i lose my job.
