COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Summit Oak Tenants had a decent parking policy until April 2012. Without proper notice the managers of Summit Oak decided to make a stricter policy without giving Tenants proper notice in advance . In April we had the towing company come into our complex and towing cars without notice. Several Tenants including myself went to the rental office to complain . The property manager claim that there was always 24 hours towing enforce but that isn't true. She claim that there is a sign posted out in the front entrance that says 24 hour towing enforce . But that was just posted recently too. The property Manager states she will give us 2 weeks visitor pass if we request it . But now she is going back on her word . When I called the office to request for my pass , assistant manager Elizabeth told me I have to wait another 2 weeks for it. I can't have it all the time .This really upset me. And she is also asking tenants personal question as far as why we need a visitor pass and who is this person and why is this person visiting you . I may live in subsidize housing . But I know I have rights and I feel she is invading my privacy . Subsidize housing does not have those rules in place.We don't live in Jail nor do we live in a gated community . I feel I have a right to have anyone visit me without my landlord knowing who it maybe. I am disable . I have the county visit me now and then . I don't want to fill out a form and telling them my business. I pay rent and I am a good tenant . I had complaint to the property manager Cynthia . But Cynthia feels she has right to do this and she is trying to catch people who are living with tenants that are on the lease. I also sent out email to her boss Jennifer Jarvis . But she refuse to reply back to me. This is really upsetting me and other tenants. We feel our rights to live on this property in a decent manner is being violated .

Renter Aug 9, 2012 173.66.52.79 1.I was totally surprise, right after I sent out this complaint , the very next day I made a phone called to the rental office and requested a visitor pass and Elizabeth the assistant manager told me , that I can come to the office and pick up my pass . My daughter went out to the office to pick it up for me and I was totally was surprise she gave me a 6 month visitor pass instead of a 2 weeks pass.
I hope this is not a one time deal and other tenants in this neighborhood is being treated equally and fairly.
