COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

Began renting from William Sornson on 4/01/12. Within a few weeks noticed what we believed to be spider bites. After a few months went on the bites became more in quantity and more frequent. Begining in my bedroom we found what was later identified as bed bugs. This was found in the begining of June. The landlord was notified several times, deniying there was ever a problem. He eventually told us to call an exterminator. In that time we collected bugs, themselves, in between scotch tape and put in sealed tupperware containers with the location they were found and dated when they were found. These were later presented to the ORKIN man and was at that time confirmed an infestation of bed bugs. Landlord was notified and came to sign needed paperwork for the exterminator to proceed with the service. The landlord refused service and caused a scene in front of the exterminator. The exterminator educated the landlord about the problem and how treatment works effectively. The landlord bidding his time said he needed to contact the bank for a loan, decided to vaccum wall paneling and remove carpeting, changed his mind stating we were the cause and he was no longer going to be responsible for the problem we brought, then went back to vaccuming the paneling on the walls and removing carpeting. He eventually changed the date of when he would be performing these duties. We had contacted him serval times trying to get a straight answer out of him and in the meen time the problem had spread from our room to the living room and our 3 childerens room. we are all being eccessivley bitten up to the point of resembling chicken pox. He has now hand written a letter stating that we are being evicted due to refusing to take care of "our problem".
