I have not had hot water for two nights and three days. I called and left a message the evening of Jan. 23 to report that the pipes appeared to be frozen and that I had no hot water. I could not shower or use the sink as the water was so cold, I could not bear to put my hands under the faucet. I have since called two more times because the pipes remain frozen. When I called John Somsky, the maintenance mgr, this morning. He was hostile and said that he "would take a shower at the gym." He said "what do you want us to do? I had my guys out yesterday. They're working on it." He did not care that the building does not have hot water. He was rude, aggressive, and would not provide a date as to when the pipes would be unfrozen. this is a problem that happens every year, but the owners refuse to spend the money to properly insulate the pipes.
