AFTER RENTING THE HOME FROM HIM IN MAY OF 2012, WE FOUND IT WAS INFESTED WITH MICE, HAD AND REOCCURANCES OF BLACK MOLD. HOME WAS RENTED TO US IN A VERY UNSANITARY CONDITION WITH MOUSE AND DOG FECES AND URINE HOME HAD TO BE DISINFECTED. WINDOWS AND BOTTOM OF WALL LEAKED CAUSING MORE MOLD TO OCCURE. MANY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS LIKE SPARKING OUTLETS, POWER SURGES AND BAD WIRING MADE MY FAMILY WORRIED THE HOME WOULD CATCH ON FIRE. WE HAD SMALL CHILDREN AND WE WORRIED CONSTANTALLY ABOUT THIER SAFETY. LANDLORD SHOW NO CONCERN ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND CHOSE TO IGNORE THEM. IN MARCH 2013 WE FOUND OUT THE HOME WAS ALSO IN FORCLOSURE AND WAS IN FORECLOSURE AT THE TIME HE RENTED IT TO US, ACORDING TO THE STATE TRUSTEE, AND WE WERE NEVER TOLD. THE SALE DATE FOR THE PROPERTY IS THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY 2013. WE WERE VERY UPSET AND STRESSED OUT OVER IT AND DECIDED WE NEEDED TO MOVE. THE LANDLORD SUED US FOR LAST MONTHS RENT. THE HOME WAS NOT SAFE WHEN WE MOVED IN AND WE HAD TO DO ALL THE REPAIRS OURSELVES. WE LEFT THE HOME CLEAN AND UNDAMAGED AND IN MUCH BETTER CONDITION THAN WHEN WE MOVED IN. I HAVE SEEN TWO OTHER RENTAL PROPERTIES OF HIS THAT ARE IN DISREPAIR AND UNSAFE.

REFUSED RESOLUTION: The Landlord or Manager has REFUSED to resolve this complaint. The RPA has made beyond reasonable efforts to work with the Landlord / Manger to find a resolution to the complaint.
