COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I have moved out because I could not stand his harassment any more. I took 5 hours cleaning my room(deep cleaning carpet, treating woodwork, painted the whole room).It is spotless. He will not even come and inspect it because he told one of my roommates that he had already decided that he was not going to give my deposit back to me anyway. My dad called him to come over and he could not even return a call to my dad to explain to him why he refused to come and do a final inspection. He does not abide by the 24 hour rule.Several times me or my roommates have been coming out of the bathroom in a robe and there he is inside the house staring at us.This is just creepy.He comes over and turns on the sprinklers and we have to pay the water bill.The garage is full of his tools, giving him an "excuse" to come over all the time.The one bedroom downstairs is illegal.I believe it has an egress, but does not have a closet, therefore making it illegal.He bought a washer and dryer and charged the five of us extra on our rent until it was paid for.But now who owns that washer and dryer?He tells us we have to go pick up salt and put it in the water softener, mow the lawn, shovel the snow and clean up the overgrown backyard.He made this pond in the backyard and now there are 8 foot tall reeds growing out of it, mosquito infested, and just plain gross.We are all college athletes.I play all 3 seasons.I have been so stressed that it has affected my performance and my grades.I now am driving back and forth everyday to school(50 miles) and the cost of gas and wear and tear on me and my vehicle is overwhelming.He let one of my roommates out of her lease.She agreed verbally and in text messages that we have retrieved from iCloud that she would pay her rent until May 2013.She moved out in Jan 2013 with no 30 day notice.He tore up her lease and also gave her back a full deposit(there was a hole in the wall in her part of the house).We are in the process of suing her.A friend of ours is a well respected attorney in our town, but we will have to pay to do that.I feel he should have some kind of monetary responsibility in this.None of us had any idea she was moving out.She lied to him about having a replacement roommate(the girl who moved in replaced someone else).He believed her over the 4 of us.He would text me and my roommates and send us letters at least 2-3 times a day.So my attorney just told us to pay that rent and sue the girl.He is the root of all the problems.

Renter May 8, 2013 69.20.199.127 I painted the whole bedroom with one gallon of paint, which was obviously the same color in one can. Landlord approved paint color and the only paint that was on the woodwork was where he had painted with blue paint from a previous renter. I have pictures of my room; there is not any black paint on any wall anywhere. The wall is not damaged where the curtains hung, if anything, I repaired damage that was there prior to my moving in AND out. I also repaired holes that the landlord left in the wall in the living room where he hung his own curtains. In the other bedroom, the landlord inspected that bedroom when I moved out and before I moved into the last bedroom I had and approved it, so any damage in another bedroom, would NOT be my responsibility. I am NOT short any rent money, because when I paid my final rent payment on May 1, 2013, I paid my part, including the rent from the renter who broke her lease. So I paid more than I should have and I had not even lived there for 2 months because of his harassment. This guy cannot add, he has nothing to do with utilities. We pay that on our own. We split the rent 4 ways (that was supposed to be split 5 ways for the renter that broke the lease) and we all paid the total, owing no more rent to him previous to May 2013, which was my last payment to him. He has been paid in full, even for the lease breaker, who I feel I should not even had to have paid for her share since she broke her lease, but I paid extra to shut him up. So for him to say I still owe ANYTHING is crazy. The dog was at the house, did not come in, came to visit me, and obviously NEVER slept with me because she never came in the house. The only reason the landlord thinks the dog was in the house was because he was looking through my bed (creepy) on an unannounced inspection that should not have been done in the first place. There was dog hair on my stuff, because I had it on me from being home on the weekend to see my dog and he thinks he saw dog hair on my bed.
