COMPLAINT : Bed Bug Infestation
Fair Resolution according to renter :
  1. Sami pays for an effective bed bug treatment in a timely manner to maintain the livability of this apartment.
  2. Move us into a different complex while treatment is conducted on 406 Dewey to maintain the premises with discounted rent.

COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I notified my landlord on 5/9/13 that I had suspected bed bug infestation in my apt. Upon offering my description of the bugs to Sami, they initially did not believe that they were bed bugs, and put in a call to the local exterminator, Raney Termite, to check upon the premises. A day had passed and nobody had come by, so I proceeded to catch a bug in a jar to show as proof, and continued to call the exterminator myself since Sami had not followed up as quickly as they should have due to the severity of the problem. Eventually on 5/16/13 an exterminator from Raney Termite came to our apartment. I showed him the bug, and he confirmed the infestation. I was informed today, 5/17/13 that the treatment, which only includes chemical spraying, will cost between 500 to 800$ that we must pay for, when it is Sami's duty as the landlord to keep the apt. pest free and inhabitable. Two of us, Daniel and Nicholas, have lived here with for a year with no previous pest problems up until this point.
