COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter) |
The owner of the property accessed the basement of the home for personal storage. The home was rented as is without any amendment stating that the basement was not included in the rent. We tried to remedy the situation by offering funds for a local storage unit for their property, however the owner refused and proceeded to call a locksmith in order to gain access into the basement. The landlord argues that the basement was not Included in the home however, The keys for the garage the main home and the basement were all different keys and all three keys were given to us upon move in and there is no evidence to support landlords claim otherwise. We pay rent for the entire home and should have exclusive access to entire home.
