I own my mobile home, but I rent the lot. I have had a service dog live with me for a year before the landlords found out about her. I have sleeping disorders, & I have recurrent seizures. Once they found out about her they were out of control harassing, threatening me, etc. I pointed out that I was well within my rights, which made them more mad. 3 days later they raised my rent, which would be twice this year alone. I moved in here and the rent was $250, it is now $400. ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THEIR TRAILERS GOT THEIR RENT INCREASED! I understand that prices go up, but it happened after they found out they couldn't do anything about getting rid of the service dog. I had 2 roommates that helped me with the rent, my lease says no more than 1 person per room. I have 3 rooms. They made me kick them out, saying that they cost them money, but they don't yell at the people who water their lawn all night, or water the parking lot. They were threatening me that I would have to pay the sewer bill if it got stuffed up accusing me of throwing my tampons in the toilet, & running a space heater when I don't even have one! This is just the tip of the iceberg of constantly going rounds with them for 8 years over petty nit picking. I'm not exaggerating when I say yelling; sometimes they will have their arms waving in the air too! Completely humiliating me. I am tired of being bullied; I have caught them or their family members outside my windows trying to listen inside. I have never been more than 2 weeks late on rent since 2004. I keep my lawn mowed and nice, it would be nice to have the area sprayed for bugs, they are infested with spiders, ticks, etc. The storage shed they provide is disgusting. The floor is rotten & damp. They yell at me about the stuff on my patio, but most of it is construction, because I am remodeling (I can’t afford it but I’m trying) it up to their standards that they were on my case about. They threaten me all the time that they will kick me out if my patio isn't perfect,, yet their daughters store that’s in front looks like the Denver flea market. They have made comments to me about how my friends look and how they dress, and that they don't like those kinds of people in their park, and they glare at them when they visit. One time, they came into my yard screaming at my friend at the top of their lungs about her dogs that were in her truck, being quiet.
