COMPLAINT DETAILS (from renter)

I have been a tenant in Edinborough Commons over a yr. I've never received a complaint of any kind. I don't smoke, throw parties, workout in my apartment or play music in my apartment. The tenant below me aggressively banged on my door & complained about stomping. I explained that no one was stomping & that we were only walking around. Because of his hostility I felt the need to go to the office that day before the matter went any further. I spoke to Cassandra at the front desk & told her what had occurred. She expressed that he wasn’t very friendly when he spoke to the staff in the office. I emphasized how uneasy & unsafe I felt but the office manager Amanda Foley told me there was nothing they could do to help me & just call the cops. Shortly after noise complaints filed against me starting on Thursday June 13, 2013. I went to the office to explain that I hadn't done anything excessive to cause the noise & asked what I could do to protect myself. I was rudely spoken to, terribly treated, there was no solution but for me to not make any noise. She outright said to me "I don't care what happens or what you do!". To live here is like walking on eggshells every time I am home. My 2 yr old nephew visits. That's when I received on 08/24/13 another noise complaint almost that very day. Back at the office, I was once again mistreated, rudely spoken to by Amanda & given zero options. I explained that if the floors are that thin any noise even walking would be loud. The tenant said he can hear me walking from my living room to my kitchen. I can only alter my lifestyle so much. Amanda claimed to have heard the "stomping". She said that it wasn't adults but the tiny footsteps of my nephew walking the lower tenant up. I explained that we already tip toe & I'm nervous about every noise. I asked her to knock on my door when she is out hearing the noise & see for herself that absolutely no crude or wild behavior is occurring. She agreed but had not, she only assumed the source to be wild. Soon my mother & nephew were visiting again. I informed my neighbors & the leasing office. Less than a week later on 08/27/13 I received a 3rd final notice. Amanda told me my only option was to move to the 1st flr. I have lived here over 15 months & feel safe on the 3rd flr. I also don't like noise over me, that is why I'm on the 3rd flr & understand the tenant's view. She said she offered him the choice to move & he denied it. There's no logic here & I get all the repercussions.
