duplex became infested with roaches on other side of duplex, not our side, prop.mngt. treated BOTH sides. May 5,2014,neighbors complained to prop.mngt. for bedbugs. That day they got treated for bbugs, WE DIDNT,instead, we were told to pay all costs for "tarping" the whole duplex or get evicted.May 8,2014 neighbors complained they still have bbugs, they got treated AGAIN, WE DID NOT AGAIN. May9,2014 prop. mngt. came to us and gave us a 60 day notice. He then told us he will cover the cost of "tarping" the whole duplex but that we will need to pay him back within the 60 days and if not, the eviction process would begin. he verbally said to us he would "help cover the cost". We have lived here for 9 yrs,4 months, NEVER has the duplex EVER ,EITHER SIDE been infested until the neighbors that live there now moved in appox. 1 yr. ago.As tenants, we are not responsible for pest-controle.? We DO NOT want to move, we have always paid rent on time , maybe 3 times we were late and paid the late fees. we feel descriminated and cant afford the $2500.00 fumigation fees.And dont want prop.mngt. to retaliate in any way if we do not pay for this.
