Have had water leaks frequently within complex and once in unit, which I believe has contributed to structural flaws of apartment building. Serious mold smell was reported before Christmas 2013. Nothing was done, until after I hired someone to come inspect the vents. They stated mold had been there 10-15 years. Management did at that time agree to clean the vents. However. Grain bugs have been visible daily, and I developed a respiratory infection while isolated to the apartment starting in July. It took time due to insurance changes to establish a primary care doctor, but once I was able they diagnosed me with a respiratory infection, and prescribed 2 antibiotics and prescription cough medicine. We have approached management, my son has taken pictures, finally we have given notice to terminate the lease. Management denies there is any mold, in order to charge us 2 months rent for breaking the lease, inspite of the unit being uninhabitable.
