Obviously, you are not responsible for the cost of bb treatment and should be entitled to a deposit refund if you move. You will most likely need legal assistance to resolve this complaint. One affordable and effective option would be to file a complaint with the RPA. It will cost you $35, but will help ensure that your rights are being met. I was renting a place that had bed bugs too. I did like you want to do and moved. The problem is that the bed bugs followed me. I quickly reacted and moved trying to get away from the bed bugs just to find that you can’t run. I can’t tell you how important it is to treat your rental before moving. The last thing you want is another infestation that was this time, caused by you.

I can’t you much about the deposit thing, but I’m sure someone will post about if you get your rent deposit back if you find bed bugs.
