Unfair Charges due to previous renters stains

Not wanting to Pay | Thursday, February 6th, 2014 7:48 am

So here’s the situation I’m in: In August of 2008, my girlfriend and I moved in to an apartment complex located close to our work.  Everything went smoothly with the lease agreements and everything.  During the move in inspection we noticed 3 large stains in one of the guest rooms.  We noted this down on [...]

I live in Wisconsin and I am wondering if it is legal for my landlord to turn off the hot water between 11pm and 5am.  It’s not just our apartment and we have called numerous times to get this fixed and have gotten mixed answers.

Lana Pier | Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 7:10 am

I have lived in a mobile home community for the past 5 years. During that time, my water billing from the management has increased 2 fold. What I find particularly disturbing is the actual bill sent to me each month. It is my understanding (as per manager), management receives one bill for the entire community. [...]

Knucklehead | Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 6:32 am

Hello there,  Frustrated tenant here.  I’m halfway through a 60-day No Cause termination of month-to-month agreement.  The case against me has been summarized as:  "Defacement of property" which was as simple as having painted a tasteful mural on the door to the unit. (This is at a housing community designated and advertised to attract "creatives" and "artists")  A [...]
