Mary Miller informed us on August 6th that she was taking the house off the rental market. Which, is fine but she has the house back for rent right now. I just want people interested in the house to know what kind of landlord she is. The tenants have rights and unless they are late on rent, or destroying the house, loud parties etc, they are not bad tenants. When people stand up for themselves, you need to not further mistreat them. My first complaint filed here, was to reconcile the repeated request, as to not entering when we are not home. Or please ask for our schedules, she never complied, as she would announce her visits during work hours. All of us have full time careers. After the repeated push back we gave her, as she every 1.5 months would announce that she is coming over and into the house. When we would ask why, she would ignore our questions. Per the RPA complaint, she refused to respond and sent an email to us instead stating her reply, I will post that as it just shows the conditions she put us in. Tenants and landlords have rights, but not one more than the other. We decided to not renew the lease as privacy was never respected. She then sends us a 4 page document requiring us to do a list of things in order to be checked out of the property. She scheduled the checkout at noon on 9/30. She required receipts for professional cleaning, although in the original lease does not state that. And threatened without those receipts we would lose the deposit and admin fees. Although she has no admin staff. Now we have been asking her for our deposit back. Mary did tell David upon end of checkout what a good job was done, yet I've sent two request for deposit information. She replied there items we need to still do, but yet does not tell us what or how to rectify. The deposit amount is not huge but it's still our right and we've put up with so much as, she would come into our house that we always paid rent on time and kept up, she admitted in email to entering our rooms. The one issue she did tell us was a small tear in the screen door, which we didn't even notice, but told her that is normal wear and tear. Yet today another request for when our deposit will be returned to us. At the checkout, the first thing that said to me was; "you better take good pictures" I felt very threatened and this is not right.
