Well, there's always two sides to the story... You are saying that suddenly they are locking you out of the parking lot, and now requiring a $250 fee. As for the locking you out of the lot, that can be stopped immediately, management never has the right to block renters from accessing the property, no matter the situation. (They would need to have an order from the courts, before they can lock you out) As for the fee... Look at your agreement closely, it may say something to the effect about you being responsible for fees associated with the condo, or with move-out etc. But my question is what is this fee? Why are they charging it and is it permitted by law? As mentioned earlier: You have a couple of options... 1) Hire an attorney or 2) File a complaint with the RPA to Mediate

Silvia-- it appears the management team is acting above the law. I would suggest you immediately hire an attorney to take care of the matter. If you can't afford one, you should consider mediation.

Your landlord is responsible for the fee, not you. Unless it is clearly written in the paperwork you signed with the landlord. They cannot deny you access to your rental. Have you thought about filing a complaint with the RPA? That would make the most sense.
