My landlord renovated my bathroom once. It went on for two weeks and was a little uncomfortable. It was worth it though. I now have a large bathroom with a large tub.

I’d say the landlord can do that since he owns the place. Just needs to make sure he doesn’t step on the rights of his tenants though.
