I do not understand how people can rent such horrible places. I would not pay the rent honestly, go get section 8 or something and move into goverment housing if you have to. At least they have codes they have to live by in those places. I for sure though would not pay the rent! or pay for things and send him the bill and subtract it out of your rent. Take pictures of everything!!
