@Cccarla; I think it’s either you cousin shut off your utilities or the power company shut it off. But you should be given a written notice first before they shut off your utilities.

However you might want to check if the “shut off” was caused by the landlord unable to pay the bills due to there’s no rent coming in. But to answer you question, the eviction process should be taken up to court. (with a lease agreement) – If a landlord wants you to leave the premise at least a written notice will be given to you.
