		<description><![CDATA[The truth is that if the contract you made with the previous landlord is verbal-- then it doesn&#039;t apply to new owners.  This is why it is SO important to put everything in writing.  In fact, in my rental contact there is a specific paragraph that states that all agreements must be made in writing and that any verbal or implied arrangement is not applicable unless signed by both me and the tenant.
As for the deposit, that would have transfered from the old landlord to the new one.  But, from what it sounds like they are saying you are in breach of your rental contract and ending your lease.  If that is the case, you will probably lose your deposit.
