Property Manager Paid My Rent – Sued Me

This is gonna sound crazy…

Overview:

I received a letter from the owner of the condo I am renting stating that he had not received my rent for the last two months from the Property Management company.
He thinks the Property Manager is using he money for herself.
He tells me not to pay next month until he figures out what is going on.
I don’t hear from him or her for three weeks.
Next thing I know I’m served with an Unlawful Detainer in the owner’s name. I call him about it and I find out

He didn’t file it – she did,

He had already received the payment referenced in the UD – because SHE PAID IT OUT OF HER OWN POCKET.

Case was dismissed and never presented before a judge.

Since then she has filed another frivolus UD again for money I had already paid her.

I now have a 60 Day Notice to Terminate Tenancy. I think it is retaliation. Can anyone help me?Is there anything I can do to stop this 60 Day Notice?

Landlord let another person in my apartment who didn’t reside there when I was out of town…

Yes hello I David LaMattina was living in Fresno CA and living in the apartment named Cedar Tree II apartment’s and well I had left with my girlfriend out of town where I was gone for 3 weeks and well I am not under power of attorney or conservator and well I was getting a lot of calls from my mother to where I had to file a complaint with the police for harassment against her for her calling me at all hours of the night… And well I will tell you this I’m a disabled us army rangers spent 11 years in military and deployed 6 times overseas and suffer from PTSD, grandmal seizures, TBI , hearing loss and tons of other issues relating to stress and anxiety… No when I get home from my trip my mother has at this point bugged the other residents living there to where they have told management that if she knocks on there door again they were going to have to file for a restraining order against her due to her being a nuisance to them… Now when I get home and enter the property I notice stuff out of place and moved not being where it should be… So I asked neighbors who has came over my apartment and if anyone had went into my apartment and neighbors told me every other day my mom was there with the police and they were conducting a health and welfare check on me and I was told from the manger that she asked for a Key to get into my apartment and she said she never gave her a key however a renter said in front of manger that my mom did enter property and seen her take my Kirby Vacuum and shampooer from the apartment and my ASUS Tablet 10.1" 32gb and on top of it she took my military health paperwork from me and told the management of my health conditions and other residents who live there and well I was even called on my new cell phone number by management who mind you didn’t have my phone number at all ever. And she clearly stated to me while I was with my girlfriend who heard the phone call and she asked if I was at home and how she came and knocked on my door and I didn’t answer and how my mom asked her to do a welfare check out on me and she was concerned with my wellbeing and well she gave management a power of attorney in my name mind you it’s signed by a notary and only entailed in my name. Nit signed by a judge and is not on record for court house at all and it has her in charge of financial services and health and well the management told me how my mom more or less talked to them about how I was dying and needed help with my life which this is so not true I’m normal and go to doctor appointment’s and well management has even told me that since my mom cause so much drama that I didn’t have to give a 30 day notice just for me to clean it up and turn in my keys before the first of the month and I did and had 5 other friends help me clean it up and make it look brand new again and it did now that I have been moved out since 09-29-2014 I got a letter to where they said I owe them for cleaning up the apartment and maintenance costs to fix things and well I can assure you it was perfect when we left and never was anything ever broken at all… So what I would like to know is what am I to do with the management and business in regards to getting my deposit back as well as who is held responsible for all items that were taken from my apartment building also another reason for me leaving was because I lived in a area that has a ton of gang members and well I was being approached by several people in response to my mother harassing them at all hours of the night… You can contact me asap please help me solve this issue and just so you know management had legal verify the power of attorney she said she had and they said it would not give her the right to enter into the residence where I lived at and clearly she went into the apartment and I was told in front of manger and my girlfriend who works in the law library in Madera ca so please help me out thanks again for everything….nova269@hotmail.com Davidlama4120@yahoo.com

proof landlord fasely sue for rent twice

The Land falsely sue for rent twice within the last 4 months and filed court paper even though the rent was paid on time this happen last year also my mom is 87 years of age the rent is paid by bill paid through her bank that has full documentation on when the rent check was sent and when they receive it and when they cash it. this is malicious abuse of the court system and harassment what to do?

Noise complaint

Hi ,

I rent a 1st floor apartment in North Brunswick,NJ . I have a 20 months old daughter and my wife staying with me . Couple of times we received cease letter from apartment office. The latest being with subjectline "Disturbing other tenants peace and quiet enjoyment".

The surprising part is i am on first floor and i receive complaints from second floor. In the latest letter all allegations are against my little duaghter stating she run, scream, falls and banging her toys on the floor.

Whether my child has her right to move around normally in the apartment? Do i need to plaster her mouth to make her shut? We are kind of handcuffed now and not able to move freely/talk between each other in the apartment that i rent ?

Request you help on this ASAP as the place seems hell for my family , i want to move out from here but as i still have 5 month left in the agreement.

I am aware of the Philadelphia Lead Paint Regulation

[named Lead Disclosure and Certification act] states that a Landlord can NOT evict a tenant, if they are not in compliance with the regulation [IE Providing the Tenant with children 6 and under, with a "Lead Safe" or "Lead Free" certificate.

LANDLORD CAN NOT CHARGE RENT OR EVICT IF HE DID NOT FOLLOW THE LEAD PAINT REGULATION !!!

Fellow tenants, Wake Up. This is our chance at getting the safety rights for ourselves.

The cheap landlords who do follow and provide us with the official Lead Safe Certificate, certify the safety THEMSELVES !

How can we trust them to ensure Lead Paint Safety ?

I am a single woman that thought turning her basement into a one bedroom apartment would be a great income source. I really did it to a 50 year old woman and her 16 year old daughter and I’m living in hell the woman is bipolar I can’t get help from anyone she has cost me my business she’s moving out after four months I have a year lease.can I make her pay for the rest of the months on the lease do I have to refund her deposit??There is help everywhere for tenants but nothing for landlords why?Is there any place you can report a tenant causes plenty to report landlords to?

Problem with Landlord and new management

Ok I am living at an apartment complex that has changed property managers like 3 times. I am a single mother who pays her bills on time everytime. I reviously paid the previous property manager all my bills. She walked off the job recently and has yet to return. The new manager has informed me that the previous manager did not put in all my electricity bills. She allowed me to transfer from my 1bedroom to my new bedroom. Now that I am in my new 2 bedroom, she informed me that I have a 500 dollar balance from the 1bedroom. She also sent me an eviction letter saying i needed to pay. OMG! I did pay. I do not owe and I am not willing to pay twice for a bill that is already paid. What should I do. She wont accept my on time rent for this month. I have called coperate and she is on vacation until Friday. This situation is so unfair. This new management company is bullying a few elderly tenants as well. We are not happy with being bullied.
