problems with landlord rapairs

so i live in rhoder island and the begining of last summer my ac broke. i have told my landlord about 20 times and still nothing has been done. It is now 90 in my house and coming towards the last month of summer which will be hotter than now. I just dont understand how he could possible get away with this. I am not sure what to do from here becasue he is clearly not planning on fixing it at all.
