Keeping my deposit.

I rented a apartment in Colorado. About 8 months into the lease I lost my job. I sent a 30 day notice saying I could no longer afford the rent. I cleaned the apartment and had the carpets steam cleaned. About 20 days later I got a letter saying the landlord was keeping my deposit for rent own on the remainder of the lease. I pretty much accepted it. Then I got another letter saying they kept the deposit because of cleaning. I cleaned that place and even took pictures. I want to know can I be charged for the utulities after I moved? Would I have a chance to win in court. I moved and tried to do the right thing. I cleaned it so it could be rented right away. The charges on the letter they sent me, look made up to me. They charged me for re-keying the place, but I returned the key?
