can i get my land loard to pay for a security door?

i rent a old house which has a 32 inch glas panel and wood door.  it it is broken by the nob as if an intruder tried to break it opean.  i am wondering if i can get the land loard to pay for an inexpensive metal security screen door

It’s there for safety use. Ask your landlord about..Should be covered with the wear and tear policy. However try checking that with him.
