is co signer responsible once the 6 month lease is up?
By soma
I helped a friend get into an apartment and co signed. He stayed well passed the 6 month lease which i signed. Later he left and left a huge bill of damage in which they came after me. am i really liable when my understanding was that I was only signing as co signer for 6 months? They were trying desperately to get him to sign another contract but he refused. Am I liable?
