how do I get my deposit back after 7 years of rental month to month lease

With renting from 2 land lord’s,2 year’s from a partner land lord recieved my deposit of 1,200 for a month to month lease,second landlord found out his partner wasnt paying the house note,I rented a lower flat for 5 year’s more from 2nd landlord,now he says I must collect the deposit from his no longer partner because we gave deposit to first land lord and that he doesnt have deposit to give me back.2nd land lord was given a months notice of my vacate,and I also took pictures of the cleaned and great shape of rental property I vacated,whT CAN I DO WITH THIS SITUTATION? DONT HAVE MY DEPOSIT RECIEPT ?
