Landlord Entry

By Christian

Our landlord has been giving us problems for a while now. It started in January when he dropped off a notice saying we had two days to decide whether we would renew our lease or not. If not, they would begin showing the house immediatley. Though that seemed like a bit short notice we elected not to renew and they began showing the house. At first, it was three to four days a week four or five hours a day in the middle of the day. We complained and they gave us smaller showing times. These would still be 3 to 4 days a week speratically. Obviously we got annoyed. Turns out an hour and a half after one of their showings was supposed to end they entered the house without ever asking us. Now today, our lease clearly states they must give us 8 hours advanced warning, that they would be showing the house at 400 with an email they sent at 1130 that morning. We have told them that isn’t 8 hours and they still plan on showing up. If they show the house is that enough reason to break our lease and move out. I don’t feel comfortable living here knowing they enter when they please and they don’t show signs of it slowing down. Thanks.
