black mold problems not getting fixed

By renee holleman

I have black mold in my bathroom and two severe asthmatics, I reported the black mold over three weeks ago, and they JUST came in monday to look at it, and hasnt been back since. I wanted to know what my legal actions were as a renter with sick children.

In the state of Arizona if there is any kind of health or safety issue regarding your apartment you should do the following: 1. Inform the landlord of the problem in writing . If he doesn’t respond download a form from the Secretary of States web site which you will find in publications listed under tenant complaint forms. 3. Fill it out and get it notarized and hand deliver it. The landlord has 5 days to respond. If the repairs are not done then it’s time to call the Health Department and register a complaint.
