BUGS vs RENT

By Amber Crone

We have reported (myself and other tenants) that their are bugs in our apartments. 3 apartments were told to move everything out and take all belongings out of cabinets that the pest control would be here at a certain date and time. Myself having three kids left for the entire day, b/c we had things to get done. WE came home when the landlord said it’d be a safe time to return. Upon returning they were just leaving from spraying our apartment. About two months has passed and there is still a problem with these unfriendly bugs. COCKROACHES. We have been cleaning nightly. Making sure that it’s not our messes that’s keeping them here. But with no avail have we reached keeping them out. I’ve found two since they "SPRAYED" I thought they would have sprayed EVERY ROOM of the apartment. My feelings are they only sprayed the kitchen. I’m very unhappy because I’ve lived alot of places and never had a problem of this before. My neighbor has reported seeing them several times. BUT THEY NEED TO SPRAY THE ENTIRE BUILDING NOT JUST 1 or two of the apartments. I’m very unhappy thankful that my lease is up in another month. What is the proper way to handle this? If calling the office hasnt helped? Should we call corporate?
