Can a landlord renovate during lease time in preparation of sale

By Roy

Hello,

My lease will ends in two months.
The landlord decided he wants to sell the property and informed me he is about to come renovate the house.
In a text message he stated it is mainly esthetic towards potential buyers.
The lease is a standard Texas lease. It states that the landlord is entitled to do repairs (but nothing about renovations).
lt is clear that the LL is trying to save a buck on my back by doing the renovation while I am paying rent.
I saw the short video on the site, but it seems very strange to me that a landlord will be allowed to interfere with my life while I am paying rent.
My questions are:
1) Can I refuse to allow the work on the basis that these are renovations and not repairs or on the basis of my son’s asthma (which could be aggravated by the work) ?
2) If so, am I supposed to go to court or do I just inform the LL that I will not allow it.
3) If not, am I entitiled to any type of compensation or must I just stomache it ?
Thanks
