Can my landlord hold mail

Joel, my landlord is holding my lease info and mail, he says i will get them when i get caught up on rent. Can he do this?

Hi JoeL!
Your landlord cannot harass, limit access, raise rent, or treat you unfairly because you failed to pay your rent on time. You can file a complaint against your landlord because of this. However your landlord can also file for an eviction case against you if you still fail to pay your monthly rent.
