can my wife’s landlord do this?!

By M.B

I moved in with my wife into her new apartment after being briefly separated two weeks. my ex wife lives nearby with my son. when she found out I moved in, she complained to my wife’s landlord that she had a problem with me living with my wife nearby. my wife had already gotten approval from the apartment manager, and i’ve been living and paying bills here for three weeks. can the landlord make me move out because of my ex wife’s complaint.  keep in mind that my previous apartment was acroos the street from my ex wife’s current apartment. she moved there after my wife and i were married and living at my previous address.

Wow! That’s a pretty uptight situation you got there. Well, a landlord can only evict you for a few valid reasons, and none of those should include your ex-wife not liking the idea of you living nearby. If your wife has already gotten approval that you will live in her apartment with her, then that makes you authorized to stay. If, for example, you got kicked out without any notice and without any justifiable reason then you can file for a complaint. But I hope your issue gets resolved soon without the need for more paperwork.
