Carpet charges

By landlordsrripoffartists

My question is in regards to me as a renter moving out and being charged over $1000 for carpet replacement. My landlord is doing complete renovation of our building as tenants move out. She came in told me not to bother cleaning the carpets that they will be replacing them. She told me to clean all vinyl beacause it would be staying.. eventhough it was as yellow as the cabniets they were replacing. A month later i get a bill for over $1100 for carpets.. they say im only paying halfof the carpet bill. When i call the company that did the work my landlord is including the vinyl replacement and not telling me about it. What are my rights????
