disgruntle landlord

I am 8  months into my lease and my landlord got mad at me for having to make repairs.  She came and took the washer and dryer that has been in the house since I moved in.  can she do that?

Your landlord is doing what is called a constructive eviction. It means that she’s “telling” you to move by slowly removing furniture and appliances to make your apartment uninhabitable. Your landlord cannot do this to you. Remember that making repairs that are not cause by you is your landlord’s responsibility. But depending on your lease agreement, you may also need to pay for repairs that are less than a certain dollar amount so it’s best that you check your lease agreement too. Anyway, the next logical step that you can take would be to file a complaint with the RPA.
