MI Landlord Problems

I believe my landlord is going to try to evict me for a health hazard violation that is totally not true.  I believe they are saying I messed with a smoke dectactor when I did not. It is very close to my bathroom door, so when showers are taken the thing goes off.  So I have to fans that I turn on, so it does not happen anymore.  During an inspection they implied that some thing was wrong with the smoke decator but would not go into details. I never have been given a copy of the inspection report.  How do I fight this if they try to take me to court?  thank you.

In most cases the smoke detector is the full responsibility of the landlord. You may be responsible for keeping new batteries in your smoke detector, but the functioning of the unit is the responsibility of the landlord.

Most likely if they are going to do anything, they will probably just warn you. I don’t think you be evicted over it.

I was accused of letting in homeless people. I was told that if I did it again, my apartment would be in jeopardy. I do not even know any homeless people. I’ve been found guilty until proven innocent. What are my options?

Well, I have a problem and the courts seem not to help me here in Orange County, Florida. I had a domestic issue back in 2003 and had to leave my lease 2 months early to relocate. I provided the apartment complex the couurt documents of the domestic issue and Harbor House wrote a letter to them emphyzing that I needed to vacate with my 2 year old daughter since it was unsafe for us to live there. Harbor House stated that my next address would be confident and if they needed any assistance from me to reach them. I left the apartment clean in good standings and never had been late and paid my last months rent before the next month came and I was already out. I mean it wasnt enough notice, but I was seriously injured by my ex, and that next month, apparently they started an eviction process even though I moved out and provided them at least 2 week notice in wiriting and paid that last month. Now I have an eviction on my record through the courts, but not on my credit report, how can I have this removed?? Anyone have an idea?
