INFESTATION!!!

             I just moved into an apartment and a week after being here my neighbor tells me that he is infested with bed bugs. So the manager used the standard bug bombs to take care of the problem, NOW they a worse than before. You can see them crawling on the floor and walls. We have JUST started to see signs that they are comin to my home. They room that is the worst over there is walled to my kids bedroom. WHAT DO I DO??? I have small children..

I think part of the law says that before any properly can be leased it has to pass habitability. If a property is not habitable, which may include pest, hazardous wastes, etc the tenant may break the lease. Also the tenant has the right to withhold the rent until such time the landlord has fixed the issue. This is the landlord’s responsibility and any expense on this problem will be paid by the landlord. You may file a complaint here in RPA.
