Move out Charges

By Jake Danner

After moving out of the apartment that we have lived in for 2 1/2 years we are being charged $350 over and on top of our $600 deposit.  We have a few monor charges that I have tryed to dispute but my main charge and thing im upset about is the Carpet charges.  We had a dog in the apt so there were a few minor stains in a few rooms but the main stain that they are charging us for was there when we moved in and got worse over time.  I have gone to the personal effort to try and clean the carpets for them.  Does anyone have and knowlege about if there are any laws about how often they are required to replace the carpet and or what they can charge us for?
