New landlords but no new lease signing

Okay so I have had three landlords in the past 6 and 1/2 yrs I have recently gotten an eviction notice that is not certified nor has it gone through the courts plus I have never gotten a warning. So my question is since the new landlords never signed the lease that I got from the old landlords does that lease really stick? okay thank you take care

I put Maryland not New Jersey I rent in Maryland!

The old lease should be in effect unless the new landlord would want to change it. Then you would have to sign and agree to the new lease.
