No Gas, Stove too old, Fridge leaking,

By Cindy

Hello I’m 54, disabled and just got over a 5 day flu and was very sick. The apartment I just recently rented is on the 3rd floor of a 2 story 30 or so unit building in West Los Angeles, CA. When I moved in all was hunky dorie. The Chinese collage age girl and I got on like a house on fire. Although I kept my distance, I’m somewhat of a loaner, she would invited to to eat often at the table. We got to like each other fine. There are 2 other young college age students sharing the other bedroom and I have the entire living room with a make shift divider in the living room which my son helped me put up. I have been here going on 2 1/2 months. The first month went by great. No noise, just cleaning a bit up after the guys but nothing bad. I have kept the place clean scrubbing the tub floors etc. They are in school constantly or home studying. It was perfect. I liked the quiet it afforded me. No altercations of any sort. Then about 2 weeks ago I heard noise which sounded like the guys room door opening and closing.. and no one left. They have their own bathroom. I thought that was spookie. I let it go. I heard it a few other times and one time I heard it distinctly come from above the apartment. I confronted Liyann about this and she didn’t know what to think, as neither did I. Some time passed and I heard it again. Then one night the police force was wild overhead and helicopters were circling the freeway from my side of the overpass to the other circling my house. I tried to get the kid to come look by he just said ok, whatever and went back to studing. I think he thought I was nuts. Then my roommate come home, I also called my son and asked him if he saw anything.. He lives 5 blocks away He said he heard it but didn’t see them. So she thought I was nuts also. I was just freaked out because I’m not used to this as I lived in Simi Valley where it was pretty calm. Later I hear from friends this is a big drug area and they were doing surveillance. Anyhow, I feel a little disrespect from all of them now. She said I made her afraid. God so was I. That was the only thing that spooked any one of us. Next I felt I had to confront the guy that I felt was snooping at night. Since I didn’t see him it was maybe not the right thing to do buy I had a feeling in my gut.Well he was pretty upset considering he slept with this roommate and didn’t want her to hate him. It was kinda funny considering he told me he had sex with her and was in love with her. She on the other hand won’t give him the time of day and is totally embarrassed about the whole thing.

Currently..she has begun to drink a lot. And I mean A lot. She’s a born drinker and can drink any man under the table. She drinks every night, and now is having parties. Saturday night before Thanksgiving Ok..till 4 am, that’s when all hell broke loose. She decided to leave the apartment and leave one of her very drunk girlfriends here. one.. two.. no issue.. then three, and I blew because I was very sick and throwing up bad. I asked her please, that I was very sick and needed to rest. She was not at all interested in my and kept on with the singing, noise.. loud music etc. she is making it impossible to sleep. I need helop now. I’m freezing at night. I can’t cook. No heat. What can I don// Cindy in L.A.
