paid half the rent, landlord added late fees is tis legal

Paid half the rent, gonna pay the other half. Rent 25, paid 400.00 for this month rent up to $1,000.  They added late fees.  The also gave me a payment plan for bed bug treatment.  Now they are trying to evict, I guess or get the money.  I’m going in to talk to them.  What are my rights.

I thought if the accepted a part rental payment, they would not evict.  I am disagreeing with them over who should pay for the bedbug problems.  We are arguing over this.

I had to throw out mattresses and couches.
