This will give you a chance to relate your problem clearly and to point out that the issue needs to be fixed right away. You can use one effective tactic, that is to explain that the problem may become worse and more costly to him it it’s not taken care of right away. You can also emphasize that this issue already existed a couple of months ago. If this doesn’t work, then you can file a complaint through RPA (Rental Protection Agency), they can help you with that. And the least you can do is to sue your landlord. 😉
