Landlord waited two months after our lease expired to contact us after several e-mails were sent to him about a new lease. no answer, letter then was sent that we were not staying, was sent in the aloted time. After moving out the house set for a month, cleaned. The landlord came and gave the place a complete makeover, sending me the bill.He kept the 1500.00 deposit and now wants another 7000.00 dollars. Charging me for damages caused by weather and leaking pipes to electricty. Now he has hired a lawyer,I cowboy for a living,Im a vet and cant really afford a lawyer.Property outside of the city limits so they cant help. What can I do and who should I call.
