Problems after decision not to move into trailer – Verbal agreement

By Jessyca

Hello,

I had a verbal agreement between my friend and I that I would live in her house rent free and fix up a trailer they have on their property provided my daughter came to live with me, and then pay rent once I fixed the trailer up.
Plans changed between my daughter and she will not be coming to live with me and I no longer will be living there and going to fix up and live in the trailer.
She is now trying to get me to pay her $250/mo up to $4000 to pay because I didn’t hold up my promise. She says she will take me to court over this.
Does she have any kind of case whatsoever?
