Problems with landlord repairs

By Karena

My family and I have moved in our apartment June 2010. We have been having problems since day one. The maintenance man has been very kind but the main things are getting done. We have fixed fixtures, we trimmed the tub, window ceils, counter tops and certain areas in closets. We have also had to fix the clost door knobs (provided by office, had problems with microwave, light fixtures, sink tops, pest control at first and we now are dealing with smoke for two months coming into our home til it is making us sick. The office manager said she will release us from our lease with a 30 day notice but we would have to pay for the few days that will run into the next month. We do not have money to move but we must move. My husband has been to the doctor for breathing problems. It has been made known to the office but we getting know moving help from them and they are charging us to move out. What should we do?

Thanks
