Rent agreement problem with my landlord

Hello sir this Is Aditya, I have been living on rent since 14 months , but there is no any rent agreement between us and my landlord.nither he has verified us by the police. I pay room rent in Advance per month,but this month due to some nominal  misunderstanding now he threats me to vacate his room immediately despite advance payment I have already paid for this month.
I am a student . being a student I dont know what to do . my exam is on Dec2012. I have to prepare for my exam.if i vacate room then i will be disturbed so please suggest me .
